ReflectionFor this montage, I utilized various different techniques in order to come up with the final design of this image. I first got the idea to show the power and speed of a sports car and also of a motorcycle. I tried to make the car the center of the picture so that it could be the focus point. Behind the car, I out several pictures together in order to show the speed and amazing power of the car. I used an explosion so that it gave the picture and action sort of feel. Also, I made use of a space shuttle taking off, which was meant to show the power and speed of the car. I also included the sports bike in the back of the car, which was meant to show that it also contains some power and speed. Lastly, I used various pictured of stars behind the layer of the car in order to give it more of a design.
As for the techniques used, I mainly used various types of color adjustments, layer properties, and various types of blurs as well. At first, the color of the car was orange, so I changed the color through the Hue/Saturation adjustments. I also changed the color of the motorcycle from red to green. I wanted to make the rocket ship sort of blend in with the background while still giving the sports car a nice effect. As with the stars, I used different blending options so that they would go well with the background. In all, the aim for this montage was to give the car a feeling of action, while giving it some meaning through different pictures and effects.

You were able to create an original image with the images you were able to gather. The image of the car and motorcycle were easily visible but the rocket ship is hard to see behind the car. You did a very nice job with the arrows which make it look livelier and big. The way the car is faced does make it seem like its going fast and the explosion can be used to back up the idea of speed. Overall the image itself looks nice and has a good point of view which led me to giving you a 5 on the Image.
ReplyDeleteThe way you were able to change the color of the car and the motorcycle to blend in with the background was nicely done. You could have moved the rocket ship or manipulate it some way to make it more visible because it looks like part of the background. The blur you used to make the car and motorcycle look like they were going at a high-speed was done perfectly. The background itself looks really nice with the green making it more colorful and making us notice the center first. All of this was what helped you get a 5 on Image Manipulation.
The collage itself could have been made better for thought you’re trying to give us the idea of the speed of the car it’s hard to actually get that idea. The explosion and the car don’t really look like their together for the explosion is a bit off. The techniques you used during the making of this image really did help like the way you changed the color with the help of the hue/saturation adjustments. The way you blended the stars with the background was done very good. In all, you weren’t able to communicate a story like asked but were able to use three effective techniques for this I give you a 3 on the collage.
In the reflection you were able to perfectly explain what you used and how you used it. You were able to tell me how you used each technique to give you the desired effect. Although you didn’t talk much about what you learned it seems it like you knew what you were doing. One problem was you talked more about what you were going to with the image not how you actually did it, not that it’s a problem but even so you need to be more descriptive. All of this was what got you the score I gave which was a 5 in the reflection.
