Logos

Reflection

For the last set of logos, set number 4, I did the logo of a website called “Media Cloud.” I gave the general scheme of having a soft sort of text. I did this because I thought that it would go really well with the idea that it was part of a cloud. For the first variation, I substituted the word “Cloud” for a shape of a cloud. I also gave it an outer glow of white to go along with the cloud. As for the other variations, I put the entire text inside of a cloud, which was to give it the impression that it was in the sky. Another variation was that I typed the entire thing plainly, but I substituted the ‘o’ in “Cloud” for the shape of a cloud. I think that the overall outcome of this logo was one that had a soft appearance.

Reflection

Another set of logos that I did included the company called “Hexagon” or “Hex” for short. With the first variation, I tried to achieve the look that as if it was a high-class company. I did this by applying bevel and emboss to both the text and also the hexagon shape. Also, it was by making the color of the logo white to make it appear as if it were gold. For the other logos, I changed the text, rotated the shape, and also changed the color scheme around. I tried to maintain the feeling that it was a high-class company by using rich-like colors.

Reflection

For the first set of logos, I used some techniques that showed some relevance to the meaning of the logo. For example, on the first variation, I made the “8-bit” text look like cubes in order to make it look like blocks. As well, instead of just regularly typing the word “Graphics,” I combined both the ‘c’ and the ‘s’ and represented them as an ‘x.’ As for the second variation, I tried to make the ‘X’ the focal point. I did this by making it look different from the rest of the letters, which was that it was made to look like it was just being drawn. On the other two variations, I tried to change the way the logo looked more than both of the previous ones. I accomplished this by using different shapes, texts, and colors on both of the variations of the logo.

Reflection

For the second set of logos, I tried to make the theme look like if it were environmentally green. On the first variation of the logo, I made the text “Green” looked like if it were on top of a patch of grass. I did this by getting the brush shape of grass and getting two different tones of green, on light, and the other one darker. I also referenced a picture of a wind panel to make it appear as if it is something green that is environmentally safe and convenient. Also, for the other logos, I tried to make the theme of “green environment” apparent by including shapes that could symbolize objects that are good for the environment.
